Mr Vemulapalli took his time in listening to what my problem was and we then had a discussion about what my options were. It was decided first to try the less invasive option of Cortosone injections, but they failed to help with the pain.

We decided together that what I needed was an ankle fusion. This was done originally when I was thirteen but due to the ageing process, I now needed surgery again. We discussed all that the procedure would involve and any foreseen complications.

Due to my past medical history he wanted me to meet with the anethist before a final decision was made. I really couldn’t fault the care and attention he has given me prior to my surgery ( I am 6 weeks post op)

My follow up has gone smoothly and both he and I are both pleased with my progress. Mr V as he is affectionately known by staff, has always been very polite and courteous at every consulation . He also has a good sense of humour.

Had plenty of time for us, listened to our concerns. We didn’t feel rushed at all. Doctor V has a nice relaxed approach when dealing with our child for Perthes Disease. Mr V operated on both my feet together. Before the operation I had huge bunions and my big toes were vending in under the second toe. I couldn’t wear proper shoes or stand for very long. Mr. V explained what he could do for me and any risks, however slight. After the operation everything went by the book. I was in very little pain and was walking (a little ) round the house on crutches by day 3. My healing and mobility increased each day, and I can honestly say that I have had very little pain throughout, any I did have was controlled by medication. By week 5 I had no need of any painkillers, even at night. Thank you Mr V, you are a miracle worker, I have to keep looking at my feet to make sure they are normal after all these years
